I just put Sophia to bed after another day battling the flu bug. The fact that she actually let me lay her down and walk out of the room is a good sign she's feeling better. She's been my little cling-on the past 2 1/2 days. This is definitely the sickest our little girl has been, and yet I feel nothing but blessed right now.
I think that's what Ryan was trying to get at the other night. It is the hardest thing--to see your usually rambunctious, ñami-ñami demanding child lie listlessly in your arms, barely able to eat anything. And still, it is one of my greatest blessings to be able to love and comfort her when she is at her weakest.
