Juan Valdez

Some may find it ironic that I spent two years of my life working as a Barista in a coffee house without ever drinking coffee, but I call it a good dose of fate. You can't come to Colombia and not drink coffee, so you can now officially call me a Coffee Drinker (with lots of sugar and some milk of course).

Juan Valdez coffee shops are littered all over Bogota, much like Starbucks can be found on every corner in Eden Prairie. The big difference between the two is that Juan Valdez has a few special extras for their coffee. Whiskey, bourbon and amaretto are available to spice up your drink and help your day go a little bit smoother. Forget about Beer Friday, I need the extra help for those Monday morning meetings!

I've been a bit under the weather for the past few days and some good old Colombian coffee with a shot of amaretto was just what the doctor ordered! Thanks Juan Valdez!
