Julie's Little Project

Yesterday my mom and I set out to complete a little project I've had in mind for the baby since this summer. We recovered the cushion of an infant swing Ryan and I got from my brother Matt and his wife, Julie. Now instead of teddy bears (which were very nice) the swing cushion is covered with puppies. We have a feeling that our baby will like the puppies. :)

This "little project" was no easy task. Neither my mom nor I had ever attempted such a project. I must admit I can't really remember the last time I'd used a sewing machine. It was a good (but trying) afternoon. Mom stepped in more than once to save the day. She knew just what to do when I busted the tip of the needle off while sewing over a pin. She also took over for a bit after I'd jammed the machine for the 10th time.

We hope the little one likes it and that he or she comes home to us soon.
