We talked to the U.S. Embassy, and they've decided to make special arrangements to help us get home a day early! Normally, the Embassy does not allow visa applications on Friday, but they were extremely helpful and decided to help us out. We'll drop off Sophia's visa application this morning, and pick it up on Monday.
Barring any unexpected complications, we'll be flying out of Bogota Tuesday morning and landing back home Tuesday evening! Our flight info:
- Flight NW 6496/CO 880 from Bogota (BOG) to Newerk (EWR) leaves at 10am and arrives at 4pm.
- Flight NW 1081 from Newerk (EWR) to Minneapolis (MSP) leaves at 5:30pm and arrives at 7:45pm.
We hope to see everyone at the airport!

Congratulations! So glad to hear that all our friends at El Refugio are coming home soon. I'm sure all your family and friends are excited to meet sweet Sophia. We feel blessed we've spent time with her already. Enjoy your last weekend in Bogota and in the nice weather (we are supposed to get 1-2 feet of snow here). I think we will venture out with Isaac Diego today. He did fine on the way home from the airport in coat and carseat, I hope that is how it will be!
Congratulations again, and now I am left wondering how Sophia is doing, did she make it to 7?!
