Interim Family Picture

Family Picture, originally uploaded by wireframe.

The last day has been insane, and it's hard to believe that in 4 days, we'll be holding Sophia in our arms (not just a picture of her)

I don't know if Jack Bauer can pull off as much multitasking as we're doing right now to try and get ready for our upcoming trip! In the past 24 hours, we've:

  • Called family and friends to spread the good news. Over the past day there have been times when all *three* of our phones have rang at the same time. We've already had to recharge each of our phones more than once to try and keep up!
  • Booked plane tickets to Bogota. We'll be flying out on sunday morning and are planning to be back home before Christmas.
  • Run around the Twin Cities like crazy to get all the paperwork needed for our visa's ready to go. The Christopherson's also received a referral last night, and Sarah is personally flying to Chicago tomorrow take care of the visa's for both of us. Truly amazing! Thank you Sarah!
  • Arranged for accommodations in a seemingly packed Bogota. Every standard FANA location is currently booked, but we've able to find a place to stay with everyone's help.

With so many things up in the air and such a short window of time to get everything in line, I don't think there'll be much sleep to be had until Sophia is finally in our arms. Luckily, the period of waiting for a referral has taught me that we're on God's time, not our time. So, what seems like an impossible set of tasks to get done in 3 days (only 2 business days), will get done. No time for worries.

Hi! Congrats again. How fun to be reading about the chaos that follows the referral! All of the FANA families can just vivdly remeber all of those times! Where are you staying? I am curious because it seems like all of the residencias have been so busy! I am sure you will love wherever you are. It will be magical for you three. Keep on writing and have fun oacking!

Godspeed on travel day. Can't wait for Green Room photos!

Know that hundreds of us want to see the pictures from Monday, so don't make us wait too long - but we understand the whole staying at a place other than a residencia, using unfamiliar equipment etc. However - The Ochocki's will be there so if all else fails - you need to give them permission to post a photo for us to see on Monday so that we can all go to bed - otherwise we will all be up - hitting "refresh" every 15 minutes!!

Congratulations! Enjoy!
