We have a mighty two-year-old!

Nearly one month has passed since Will turned two.  Wow!  Time is whizzing by as quickly as he is these days.  He is very evidently a little boy.  No longer a baby, he now detests the cutesy little nickname Sophia still tries to use.  No more "Go-go Baby" for William Thomas.  He'll tell you in no uncertain terms exactly what he does or does not like.  He is a mighty two-year-old and we marvel every day at the precious gift he is to all of us.  Here are just a few of the things Will loves and for which we love him.

Firetrucks, garbage trucks, dump trucks, semis, and school buses!  If it makes lights or music, it's sure to be his favorite.  This firetruck came all the way to the Kalahari and back.  Will now has the firetruck make a daily trip there because he loved it so much.  Kalahari may be one of my favorites in his expounding vocabulary these days.

Anything that goes brings a smile to his face, especially if he's behind (or on) the wheel.  Will makes sure I don't miss a single traffic signal, "Green means go.  Red means stop. And yellow means slooow down."

Will loves slides and has tried out every single one at our neighborhood park now that the snow is finally gone.

Buttons are fascinating!!!

                                             Did I mention buttons?

Treats (see cake smashing ensuing after blowing out his birthday candles), "mac cheese and peas", shrimp poppers, chicken nuggets, french fries, cereal bars, yogurt and any type of fruit.

Will wants into every secret hideout and onto every secret spy mission.

Only some serious Mama distracting can deter him from pounding down the girls' door if they've decided to lock him out.

He is usually up for dressing up, and if the girls are going to be Elsa from Frozen, so is he.

Will and Claire share a love of all things musical.  We sing and dance our way through most tears and troubles.

Sophia has definitely sparked Will's interest in books. For as much as this kid loves to move, he also loves to snuggle up for story time, especially if whales, dolphins, or fish are involved in the story.

You are a wonder Will, not just because you recognize that M and W are basically the same letter if you flip them upside down or that L and 7 share nearly the same trait; but because you make every moment worthwhile.
