- This is the first January we've done more bike riding and playing in the park than sledding.
- Claire had her first "cooking" experience. She helped make vanilla pudding, which we then used as paint. Notice how Sophia is our serious seasoned cook and artist, while Claire is super silly.
- Sophia played mini golf for the first time with Grandpa Proehl. It was Grandpa's birthday and the course was glow-in-the-dark!
- Claire attended her first play, Llama, Llama Red Pijama. She enjoyed the music, applauded at all the right times, and overall sat very well.
- Both girls have had some driving firsts too.
- And last, but not least, the girls are finding out what it means to be roommates. Sophia and Claire are now sharing a room, and eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby brother, who will live next door to them.
The big question of the year is.... Are Ryan and I ready to be outnumbered?
We shall soon see.

I love the Sonnek family and their posts ! What beautiful little girls ! I am anxiously awaiting lil' brother, too ... Oh the joy of it all. 2012 will be very fun for the Sonneks as you make room for that third child - and a boy, at that! With Claire taking on all of Julie's looks, maybe this one will look like Ryan?
