Ready to go!

I've got my Visa!

The visit to the U.S. embassy this afternoon was successful. No missing paperwork or scary men talking about Kenny Rogers. We have Sophia's Colombian passport back with a U.S. visa and are set to come home tomorrow!

Our last excursion around Bogota today was to visit the hospital where Sophia was born. After talking with some other families, I wasn't sure if we'd be able to take any pictures due to "security" issues. I got a bit nervous as soon as I took out my camera and snapped a few pictures of the premises, and a security guard started to walk my way. Colombian security guards are not anything like the security guards we have at home either. As soon as I saw him walking my way I thought to myself, "What a great Christmas this will be...spent in a Colombian jail!". Luckily, the security guard was amazing and very welcoming. He was more than happy to let us take some pictures to help us remember where our great adventure really began.

The rest of the day has been spent packing. It's proven to be quite difficult to get everything in the luggage we brought when two suitcases are filled to the brim with the Coloma coffee that we picked up last week. Just kidding, we're not the Felts! =)

See you all tomorrow! If you're able to come to the airport, you should be able to meet us at the baggage claim area. I'm sure there will be a congregation of people at either end of the baggage claim area where arriving passengers enter.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support while we've been away!
