Receiving Sophia

Receiving Sophia 023

This is just a quick note to let you know that we are officially a family of three!

We were so blessed to share our reception of Sophia with the Christophersons (Sarah, Brian, and little Ava) and also the Ochockis (Dana, Chuck, Joaquin, and Tomas). It was also very special to have Mercedes there (the founder of FANA and pictured with us here). Flor, who had been so helpful before we even got to Colombia, presented Sophia to us.

We received Sophia into our arms this morning around 11:30 a.m. It has been an incredible day, and we'll write more tonight. For now, enjoy the pictures while we spend some time getting to know our daughter! Our internet connection at the apartment is less than ideal, so it may take some time for the full set of pictures to be uploaded.

Wowee-wow-wow!

Congratulations again! Loved the photos of Sophia's presentation, but I especially love the one of Daddy and his little girl! This is just the beginning! She is a doll and we just love her name!

Heather said it well, but I just need to add one thing. Tomorrow is Tuesday. Think back to one week ago. Think about how much has changed in just one short week. You did great, getting yourself to Colombia in just 5 short days. Enjoy the wonderful days to come in Bogota with Sophia!

Dear Sophia, Julie, and Ryan,

It was a thrill to be a part of your presentation day. We will never forget the smiles on your faces and the tears in your eyes as sweet Sophia rounded the corner into the green room. Your photos only begin to capture the beauty of that moment.

We are all so excited to get to know little Sophia better and to explore Colombia with you over the upcoming weeks.

Enjoy your first full day of parenthood! We´ll see you soon.

Besos,

Dana, Chuck, Joaquin, and Tomas
